NSF ETAP Research Education and Mentoring (REM) Summer 2023
Over six weeks of the summer of 2023, we held a summer research, education, and mentoring event at the South Dakota Mines campus. High school students from around western South Dakota were able to participate in several college-level experiences which included laboratory work, academic reading and writing, tours to do hands on sample collection, and professional research presentations. Four groups of students worked on four different research projects all focused on the development and impact of future green energy sources. The program was a great success and we hope to continue it into next summer!
